LIMITED EDITION 11x17in POSTER

Early this year, I was asked to participate in an exhibit with Faber-Castell Singapore and I created 2 artworks, one of them is a botanical inspired Ampersand. The original piece was sold to a couple and it was a beautiful love story.

Below is the write up of the original piece:

”Ampersand is a logogram and a representation of the word “and”. It originated as a ligature of the letters e and t, which is the Latin word for “and”. On a visual scale, it can be seen as a representation of the e and t being squished together.

The ampersand depicts togetherness and that’s why in this modern day and age, it represents more than just the word “and” – to some people it means love and unity.

There is a deeper meaning to the character that represents as a symbol of continuation - towards knowledge, love or anything at all; an indication of the future, or could even convey as a quest or journey that is seemingly endless - which can also depict mystery.”

The finish the couple’s story, the husband purchased the original artwork as a surprise gift for her wife, whose initials are also E and T.
